Accommodation

(return)

The wedding celebration will take place in a town 8 km from Heidelberg called Schriesheim. Below, we provide three options for acccomodation close to the venue.

If you are travelling from far and would like to make the most of your stay in the area, you can also think about staying in Heidelberg. In Heidelberg, the best area to stay would be around/close to the Old Town (Altstadt) which we have marked on a map below - there should be plenty of suggestions for this area on sites like booking.com.

Outside of Heidelberg (closer to the wedding venue):

Midori - The Green Guesthouse

This hotel is conveniently located between the wedding location and Heidelberg in a suburb called Dossenheim.  While it has parking it can also be easily reached via the tram No. 5 from Heidelberg (stop is Dossenheim Süd).

NH Hirschberg Heidelberg

The hotel is a standard, no-thrills-no-frills business hotel which is located about 3.5km from the venue. It is convenient for people who arrive by car since it is close to the main motor way.

Leonardo Hotel Mannheim Heidelberg

This is another opton in a small and quaint town called Ladenburg. It is fairly close to the wedding venue (~5km).  This is convenient for people with cars.

Areas to stay in Heidelberg:

As mentioned above, it is possible to stay in Heidelberg itself, especially if you have some extra time to explore the city. There are too many hotels to list here so if you have any concerns or questions, please contact us.

Heidelberg's old town (Altstadt) is mainly pedestrian and has quite a few hotels. It is popular with tourists. There are also hotels in the neighbouring boroughs which are easily walkable and have very good public transportation links (tram or bus). The neighbouring boroughs are Bergheim, Weststadt and Neuenheim.

There are also options in Bahnstadt and other boroughs further out where public transportation connections are very good. Note, however, that Heidelberg city centre is not walkable from these areas.
